Job Description – 2025 Summer Internship Program

Dimensional Fund Advisors is seeking talented undergraduate or graduate students to join their 2025 summer internship program within the Portfolio Management group. This ten-week program offers a unique opportunity to experience the day-to-day responsibilities of an Analyst, gaining valuable insights into the world of investment management.

Here’s what the internship entails:

• Investment Philosophy Implementation: The Portfolio Management team is responsible for implementing Dimensional’s investment philosophy. They design portfolios to target sources of higher expected returns, which have been identified and rigorously vetted by academic research and Dimensional’s own research team.
• Portfolio Oversight & Management: The team oversees and manages Dimensional’s portfolios, ensuring consistent and efficient exposure to these higher expected return factors.
• Client Interaction: Portfolio Managers interact with both current and prospective clients, representing Dimensional’s investment approach and philosophy.
• Team Collaboration: The Portfolio Management team collaborates closely with departments such as Trading, Research, Technology, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and the Global Client Group to provide a seamless and exceptional investment experience for clients.

As an intern, you’ll be involved in:

• Projects: You’ll work directly with Portfolio Managers on important investment topics, such as trading cost analysis and portfolio engineering.
• In-depth Learning: You’ll gain a deep understanding of investment projects, presenting your findings and project results to management.
• Day-to-Day Support: You’ll contribute to the day-to-day operations of the International Portfolio Management desk and investment staff.
