Internship- Project Finance Portfolio Management | Societe Generale

• Mission: Assist the Project Finance Portfolio Management team in managing credit reviews, monitoring, and reporting to maintain portfolio oversight and compliance.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Credit Review Preparation: Assist in the thorough preparation of annual credit reviews, encompassing detailed financial analysis and the formulation of rating proposals for various projects.
• Transaction Consent Processing: Manage the processing of technical consents for transactions, ensuring all necessary internal credit approvals are obtained from relevant departments.
• Portfolio Monitoring & Reporting: Handle diverse aspects of credit monitoring for the project finance portfolio and contribute to comprehensive reporting efforts.
• Watch-List & Provision Reviews: Support the preparation of quarterly watch-list and provision reviews, including presenting these critical updates in both local and global meetings.
• Covenant Tracking & Resolution: Precisely record covenants within the internal tracking system and proactively work to resolve any past due obligations, maintaining compliance.
• Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work in close collaboration with various internal departments, including the Front Office, Back Office, and Risk teams, to ensure smooth operations.
• Audit & Regulatory Assistance: Provide support during internal and external audits, as well as assist with regulatory examinations, ensuring all required documentation and information are available.
• Management Reporting: Aid in the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports focusing on data quality and credit monitoring, and respond to inquiries from global management regarding the portfolio’s status.
The Must-Haves
• Background: You should be a recent graduate holding a Bachelor’s degree from a Business or Engineering School or University, with a specific academic specialization in Finance. This is an entry-level position designed for individuals beginning their career in financial services.
• Experience: While no prior years of experience are strictly required, candidates with a strong academic record, specifically a GPA greater than 3.65, are highly preferred.
• Skills: You must possess good communication and presentation abilities, demonstrate proficient command of MS Office applications, and be fluent in English. Essential qualities include the ability to thrive in a deadline-focused environment and a strong aptitude for teamwork.
• Bonus: Any previous experience gained in Structured Finance or within the Banking sector would be appreciated, as would some foundational exposure to credit agreements.
