Job Description: Polaris Digital & Information Technology (D&IT) Internship
This 12-week internship program is designed for future leaders seeking a culture of innovation, passion, and collaboration. Interns will gain real-world experience working on projects at a dynamic company in the powersports industry.
Key areas of experience and exposure:
• Predictive Data Science: Working with data analysis and predictive modeling.
• Infrastructure: Experience across various infrastructure areas, including L2 Client, Collaboration, Database, Desktop, DevOps, Network, and Systems.
• Information Security: Exposure to information security practices and principles.
• Product Management: Involvement in the product management lifecycle.
• Software: Working with software development processes and technologies.
• Digital Marketing Operations: Contributing to digital marketing strategies and execution.
Locations: Internship locations include the corporate headquarters in Minneapolis, MN, as well as Osceola, WI, Roseau, MN, Spirit Lake, IA, Huntsville, AL, Wyoming, MN, Battle Ground, WA, Wilmington, OH, and Vermillion, SD. Location will be determined through an intern matching process.
Program Highlights:
• Mentorship: Paired with a Polaris associate for guidance throughout the internship.
• Intern Programming: Weekly learning sessions covering various topics within and outside the specific internship area.
• Networking: Opportunities to network with peers and leaders within Polaris.
• Intern Innovation Challenge: Collaboration with other interns on a cross-functional team to develop and present innovative solutions to an internal case study to executive leadership.
• Early Talent Summit Super Week: A three-day event focusing on professional development, networking, and a team ride on Polaris vehicles.
• Community Engagement: Opportunities to participate in volunteer activities.
• Final Presentations: Interns will showcase their experiences and career aspirations.
Potential Outcomes: High-performing interns may be offered a return internship or a full-time position after successful completion. This internship serves as a feeder into the company’s rotational leadership development program.
Intern Relocation Assistance: Polaris offers relocation assistance through Weichert Workforce Mobility for interns whose home address is 35 miles or more from their work location.
Required Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a graduate or undergraduate degree with a technical emphasis (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems/Tech, MIS, Data Science, Software Engineering, Infrastructure, Cyber/Network Security/Engineering).
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) for 12 weeks (May/June-August 2025).
• Geographic flexibility.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, communication skills, interpersonal skills, self-motivation, and leadership potential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, Word, and SharePoint).
Preferred Qualifications:
• Completion of at least two years of university coursework.
• Prior internship/co-op experience.
• Previous leadership experience.
Salary: $22.50 to $31.50/hour in Minnesota (based on various factors). This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
