Join the Ground Missile Defense Team as a PMP/Component Associate Engineer
This role offers a chance to be a part of something truly impactful. The Ground Missile Defense (GMD) system is a critical element in protecting the nation against ballistic missile attacks. As a PMP/Component Associate Engineer, you’ll contribute to the GMD Weapon System (GWS) Architecture and Delivery (A&D) team. Your work will involve developing Bill-of-Materials (BOMs), processing new part requests, creating part objects and attributes within a Product Lifecycle Management System, and handling other assigned duties.
Key Responsibilities:
• BOM Development: Learn and perform the development of Bill-of-Materials (BOMs) for the GWS.
• Part Management: Handle new part requests, create part objects, and define part attributes in the Product Lifecycle Management System.
• Technical Data Understanding: Read and interpret technical documentation such as Technical Orders, Engineering Drawings, Parts Lists, Bills of Material, and Engineering Specifications.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the A&D team to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.
• Communication: Clearly communicate data and information to team members and stakeholders.
This is a full-time position requiring an on-site presence at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Qualifications:
• Active Interim Secret Clearance and U.S. Citizenship
• Bachelor’s of Science Degree in a related STEM field with relevant experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Familiarity with the selection and application of EEEE components
• Working knowledge of engineering drawings, BOMs, and maintenance parts lists
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical information clearly and concisely.
Desired Skills:
• Familiarity with parts, materials, and process selection for space hardware
• Experience with quality systems, component DMS, ESD, ROHS, and Material Review Board concepts
• Technical skills in DMSMS and Obsolescence
• Experience with corrosion prevention and control in military applications
• Understanding of military electronics reliability requirements
• Experience evaluating commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) parts for compliance
