P&S Operations Leadership Development Program – Industrial Engineering | BAE Systems, Inc.
The Tone:
This is a full-time rotational leadership development program at BAE Systems, Inc., primarily starting at major locations such as York, PA, Kingsport, TN, Louisville, KY, or Aiken, SC. BAE Systems Platforms & Services builds armored combat vehicles, naval guns, missile launchers, and maritime solutions for national defense. This program is designed to accelerate the development of recent college graduates into future leaders who will make a big impact by protecting the lives of those who serve. Participants will experience growth and a strong team camaraderie.
The TL;DR

• Mission: Develop future operational leaders to drive impact across manufacturing, supply chain, and program strategy within defense and security.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Gain diverse experience: Participate in three, one-year rotational assignments with increasing responsibility across Supplier Partnerships, Manufacturing, and Program & Strategy.
• Complete advanced education: Pursue and complete a Master’s Degree, such as an MBA or Mechanical Engineering, with robust tuition assistance provided by BAE Systems.
• Develop leadership skills: Engage in an annual week-long leadership development conference (LDC), complete a technical and leadership curriculum, and network with senior executives.
• Contribute to operational functions: Serve in roles such as Supply Chain Analyst, Manufacturing Engineer, Production Control/Planning, Continuous Improvement, or Operations Program Manager.
• Receive mentorship: Work with a dedicated mentor who provides guidance on choosing rotations, career development, and off-program placement.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level professionals holding a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Quality, or Business (other applicable majors considered). Completion of a Master’s degree is a required component of the program.
• Experience: Internship/Co-Op or project experience in a related field. Demonstrated teamwork and leadership abilities in academic and non-academic pursuits are required.
• Skills: Superior communication skills, aptitude for problem solving, resilience (takes feedback well and isn’t afraid to fail), collaboration (team oriented, works well with others and inspires them to be their best), and adaptability (change openness/flexibility).
• Bonus: Eligibility for an early start prior to June if your bachelor’s degree is completed in December or earlier, subject to business conditions.
