Job Description
About the Job: Platform Engineer Intern (Summer 2026)
At IBM, Technology Sales is evolving its way of working to break beyond boundaries with innovative approaches. We prefer to ‘show’ vs. ‘tell’, and we’re looking for passionate undergraduate and graduate students ready to combine their technical interests and education with strong people skills. You’ll prospect and co-create with customers, partners, and colleagues to develop solutions for our clients’ most complex business challenges.
In a world where technology moves at speed, it’s essential that we stay ahead of the curve to provide tailored solutions that meet our clients’ needs. It’s not enough to have technical expertise; we need to be great with people – to empathize, understand, and collaborate on technical solutions that will improve lives all over the world.
This is a Summer 2026 position. As a Platform Engineer Intern within Client Engineering, you’ll be a key player in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team comprising Architects, AI Engineers, Designers, and Business Technology Leaders. You’ll collaborate with clients as one team, contributing to experiential working sessions and builds. The outputs of these sessions produce rapid pilots that lead to the deployment of enterprise-scale solutions at start-up speed.
IBM’s Sales Internship Program culture will set you up for positive impact and success, whilst ongoing development will continually advance your skills. Our sales environment is collaborative and experiential. As part of a team, you’ll be surrounded by bright minds – always willing to help – as you apply your passion to work that will compel our clients to invest in IBM’s products and services.
