Job Description:
The City of Highland Park is offering an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in city planning. As a Planning & Management Analyst Intern (Part-Time), you will perform a variety of entry-level professional planning and management analyst tasks involving land use regulation and program and development services administration.
Key aspects of the role include:
• Gaining hands-on experience in municipal planning.
• Working on tasks related to land use regulation.
• Assisting with program and development services administration.
• Receiving mentorship from senior staff.
• Gaining valuable insight into municipal planning processes.
• Exploring potential career pathways in the field.
• Applying classroom knowledge in a meaningful and practical setting.
This part-time internship:
• Consists of 20 hours per week.
• Is capped at a maximum of 999 hours per year.
• Does not include benefits.
This position is ideal for current students or recent graduates in urban planning or a related field.
