Job description:

The MainStreet Family Care Physician Assistant Preceptorship Program in Macclenny, FL, offers aspiring physician assistants hands-on experience and mentorship in an urgent care setting. This program bridges the gap between academic knowledge and practical clinical skills, preparing individuals for successful careers in healthcare.

Program Highlights:

Duration: A month or semester long, offering a comprehensive understanding of urgent care operations.
Mentorship: Close work with experienced healthcare professionals who will serve as mentors, providing guidance and support.
Clinical Exposure: Exposure to a wide range of patient cases, enhancing clinical skills and promoting critical thinking in a fast-paced environment.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Engagement with a collaborative healthcare team, including physicians, family nurse practitioners/physician assistants, medical assistants, and support staff.

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in an accredited physician assistant program.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Desire to work in urgent care preferred.
• Have an active affiliation agreement

Application Process:

1. Submit a comprehensive resume and answer the application questions.
2. Qualified candidates will be contacted for a brief phone screening.
3. Following the phone screening, candidates will schedule a 45-minute interview with the Clinic Management team.
4. If the team feels that you would be a great fit for our preceptorship program, they will match you with a qualified preceptor at a clinic near you. Candidates will then be contacted with their placement information.
5. Candidates will receive a welcome letter and complete the onboarding process.
