Pharmacy Student Intern Job Description

This is a part-time, hybrid internship position based in Tucson, Arizona. The role involves working under the supervision of a registered pharmacist or designated pharmacist preceptor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prescription Filling: You will be responsible for filling prescriptions in compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Customer Service: You will be responsible for providing advice and consultation to customers and healthcare professionals on a variety of topics including prescription knowledge, drug therapy, health-related products, and concerns.
• Company Initiatives: You will be actively involved in implementing company initiatives aimed at increasing pharmacy profitability.
• Clinical Services: You will participate in clinical services within the pharmacy.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Must be enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited school of pharmacy.
• Licensing: Must hold a valid state intern license if required by the state of employment.
• Adaptability: Ability to readily and positively adapt to changes in schedule specifications and work priorities based on business and customer needs.
• Teamwork: Ability to cooperate with others and work as part of a team.
