About the Job:

This role is for a Pharmacy Intern or Pharmacy Technician working under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. The primary responsibilities include assisting pharmacists in the preparation of medications, meticulously screening prescriptions, and ensuring patients receive correctly filled medication orders. The position also involves various tasks related to the storage, distribution, packaging, and labeling of drugs. Accurate record-keeping and charging activities are integral to the role. Beyond daily operational tasks, the incumbent is expected to participate in performance improvement activities within the Pharmacy Department and collaborate with outside departments to identify and resolve issues, contributing to the continuous enhancement of services.

Requirements:
Education/Enrollment: Must be currently enrolled in a school of pharmacy and have completed an affidavit of Pharmacy School enrollment.
Experience: Less than 2 years of experience is required.
Certifications/Licenses: Must possess a current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification. A Maryland Pharmacy Intern or Maryland Pharmacy Tech license is mandatory.
Skills: Demonstrated good customer service skills and strong work habits are essential.
