Work Shift: Various Shifts, Rotating weekends, 8 hour shifts

Summary:
Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to join its dynamic inpatient pharmacy team at Everett Hospital. The inpatient pharmacy offers an innovative academic environment within a community hospital setting, utilizing cutting-edge clinical services and state-of-the-art automation and technology, including EPIC EHR, Pyxis dispensing systems, and bedside barcoding. The team focuses on optimizing clinical outcomes, patient safety, satisfaction, and financial sustainability. Pharmacy Technicians are crucial to the success of the Pharmacy Enterprise.
Responsibilities:
• Sterile and non-sterile compounding
• Medication preparation for dispensing
• Medication delivery to patient care areas
• Inventory and record-keeping management
• Triaging of phone calls from patient care areas
• Pyxis medication station restocking and troubleshooting
• Inspections of hospital and clinic medication storage areas
• Participate in robust internal training program for sterile and non-sterile compounding
Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate is required.
• Registration: Must have a current intern registration in good standing from the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Pharmacy.
• Work Experience: Inpatient Pharmacy experience preferred
