Job Description: Pharmaceutical Associate Sales Specialist (Military Pathway)

This full-time position is part of a sales training program specifically for military veterans. It is initially based in Virginia, but final placement may require relocation within the Regional geographic area.

As a Pharmaceutical Associate Sales Specialist, you will:

Expand sales of Janssen products: You’ll work to increase sales of Janssen products and convert customers from competitors, always adhering to company policy and sales direction.
Support the region/division: You’ll be responsible for various sales-related activities, eventually transitioning to a Sales Representative role with a dedicated territory.
Develop tailored selling approaches: You’ll create and implement customized strategies that address individual practitioners’ perspectives and institutional philosophies, while staying compliant with guidelines.
Leverage clinical studies and marketing materials: You’ll effectively use approved resources to support the value proposition of Janssen products and adapt your message to meet diverse audiences.
Execute a comprehensive business plan: You’ll develop and implement a plan that considers local market opportunities, challenges, and key strategies to drive sales.
Maximize territory coverage: You’ll strategize to maximize selling time with account professionals, adjust schedules to reach key stakeholders, and develop strategies for increased access.
Influence contract implementation: You’ll work to maximize the value proposition of Janssen products and ensure smooth contract implementation within assigned institutions, holding stakeholders accountable.
Understand payer access and affordability: You’ll gain knowledge about the payer landscape within your territory and how it impacts the company’s products.
Develop an integrated business plan: You’ll create a plan that targets key accounts, utilizing all available resources and aligning it with district, regional, and company goals.
Analyze business analytics: You’ll monitor the effectiveness of your plan, analyze data to identify opportunities and trends, and make adjustments to minimize competition and maximize sales.

To be considered, you must have:

• A Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 2 years of experience in the United States Armed Forces.
• A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel as needed.
• A proven track record of success throughout your military career.
• Demonstrated experience as a people manager or leader.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strategic and creative thinking capabilities, with the ability to thrive in ambiguity.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• A willingness to complete credentialing requirements, including background checks.
• Residency in the designated geography or willingness to relocate.
