The Tone:

You will contribute to performance analytics and automation within Tesla’s communication ecosystem.

The TL;DR

• Mission: This person will optimize engagement and downstream conversion across Tesla’s communication ecosystem by analyzing large datasets and translating findings into actionable insights.
• Tech Stack: SQL, Python (preferred), Tableau (preferred), Power BI (preferred)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Analysis: Proactively identify opportunities to improve engagement and downstream conversion through data analysis.
• Querying: Write SQL queries to analyze campaign performance across regions, countries, customer segments, and lifecycle stages.
• Reporting: Build automated reports and operationalize insights into repeatable frameworks to track business impact from campaigns.
• Targeting: Develop and execute advanced targeting logic based on behavioral and lifecycle criteria to generate complex send lists.
• Partnership: Partner with ML teams to support feature validation and measure the performance of model-driven cohorts against control groups.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Student actively enrolled in an academic program, demonstrating strong analytical skills and a self-driven approach.
• Experience: Experience working with large datasets from internships, academics, or research.
• Skills: Strong SQL skills including the ability to independently write complex queries, capability to translate analysis into clear insights and recommendations, and comfort working with ambiguity while defining structured approaches.
• Bonus: Experience with A/B testing or experimentation frameworks, familiarity with Python or data visualization tools, interest in personalization, lifecycle communications, or ML applications, and experience working cross-functionally.
