About the Opportunity

Linköping FC is offering remote Performance Analysis Internship opportunities to support the Club’s Analysis Department. We are looking to recruit multiple interns across two roles within Performance Analysis:

• Data Analyst Interns
• Video Analyst Interns

These internships are learning-focused and mentored, designed for aspiring analysts seeking exposure to professional football analysis workflows. Interns will support existing processes under clear guidance; all tactical interpretation and decision-making remains with the coaching and analysis staff.

DATA ANALYST INTERNSHIP

Data Analyst Interns will support the collection, organisation, and interpretation of football performance data using professional platforms (e.g., WyScout).

Typical Responsibilities May Include:

• Reviewing football performance data provided by the club
• Extracting predefined metrics into club templates
• Tracking trends and patterns over time
• Identifying notable outliers or changes in data
• Producing short, structured data summaries

The specific focus of the data work may vary (e.g., team performance monitoring or opposition data), but the role structure and learning objectives remain consistent.

VIDEO ANALYST INTERNSHIP

Video Analyst Interns will support the club’s opposition analysis workflow through structured video analysis tasks.

Typical Responsibilities May Include:

• Tagging and clipping opposition matches using provided templates
• Focusing on specific phases of play (e.g., build-up, pressing, transitions, set-pieces)
• Organising video outputs clearly for staff review
• Identifying repeated patterns or behaviours
• Maintaining high standards of accuracy and organisation

IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Aspiring performance, data, or video analysts
• Students or recent graduates in sport, data, or related fields
• Comfortable working independently with clear guidance
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Familiarity with analysis tools (WyScout, Hudl, Excel, etc.) is desirable but not essential

These roles are remote, unpaid, and time-limited, designed to be learning-focused and ethically structured. Time expectations are clearly defined, and interns are NOT expected to be available outside agreed workloads.
