Description: People Operations & Compensation Intern (Summer 2025)
Eataly is seeking a People Operations & Compensation Intern for the summer of 2025 to work alongside and learn from its HR team. This paid internship offers hands-on professional experience within a dynamic and fun environment.
Under the guidance of the Manager of Operations & Compensation, the intern will:
• HR Systems Administration: Assist in managing and maintaining HR information systems (HRIS), ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Compensation Analysis: Support the compensation team in conducting salary benchmarking and market research. This includes preparing and analyzing compensation reports and metrics.
• HR Metrics Development: Develop and track broad HR metrics (e.g., turnover, onboarding compliance, manager actions) for use by the wider HR team. Improve existing HR reporting infrastructure, potentially suggesting enhancements to the underlying Python/R code and other services.
• Workforce Planning: Participate in workforce planning activities, contributing to data collection and analysis.
• Process Improvement: Assist in developing and implementing new HR processes and procedures, with a focus on creating a useful knowledge base for internal teams.
• Internship Architecture: Learn Eataly’s job architecture and the process for grading new jobs according to federal guidelines.
• Ticketing System Rollout: Assist with the implementation and testing of a new ticketing system.
• In-Store Process Support: Gain understanding of in-store processes and provide input on how the corporate HR team can better support them operationally and compliance-wise.
• Other Duties: Perform other tasks as needed.
The internship is a full-time, on-site position at Eataly’s corporate offices in Manhattan, NY, running from June to August. The schedule is Monday-Thursday, approximately 9 am to 6 pm. The hourly pay rate is $16.50. Housing and transportation are the responsibility of the intern.
