Job Description: PCB Designer
As a PCB Designer at Lockheed Martin, you’ll be part of an interdisciplinary engineering team responsible for the design, documentation, fabrication, assembly, testing, and integration of hardware. Your primary focus will be on Printed Circuit Card (PCB) assembly designs, encompassing a range of complexities, from simple 2-layer quick-turn boards to highly sophisticated space-qualified multi-layer rigid/flex backplanes with advanced features like blind/buried/micro vias.
Key Responsibilities:
• Utilize industry-leading PCB design tools like Zuken CR-8000 or Siemens Xpedition.
• Leverage additional tools for signal integrity analysis, documentation control and inspection, and general MS-Office applications.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to translate functional specifications into robust PCB designs.
• Ensure adherence to design and fabrication standards, including IPC 2221, 2222, 2223, IPC 6012, 6013, or IPC 600.
• Analyze x-ray, CT scan, and cross-sectional analysis results to identify and troubleshoot potential issues.
• Provide technical expertise and support for resolving complex design and manufacturing challenges.
• Communicate design specifications and rationales effectively in both written and verbal formats.
Qualifications:
• Demonstrated experience in PCB design is essential.
• Experience with flex, rigid flex, or RF designs is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with various PCB design tools such as Mentor, Cadence, Altium, or Zuken is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of electronics standards and processes is crucial.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

About the Program:
This role is part of the A&DE Electronic Packaging Group, emphasizing the design and engineering of electronic packaging solutions, particularly for space-related applications.
Remote Work:
This position offers a part-time remote work arrangement, allowing for a blend of remote work and on-site presence at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific schedule will be determined during the hiring process.
