Starbucks Payroll is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing and remittance of payroll and taxes for over 275,000 partners in the United States and Canada. This department prioritizes partner care, focusing on process improvements, meeting reporting requirements, ensuring compliance, maintaining operational health of payroll systems, and mitigating financial risk to the company.
Description
The Payroll Internship is a 10-12 week paid assignment (June – August 2025) at the Starbucks Support Center in Seattle. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to:
• Influence business performance: Make an impact through meaningful project work.
• Develop professionally: Enhance your skills at workshops and business overviews.
• Foster connection: Grow your network by meeting and learning from senior Starbucks leaders.
Responsibilities:
• Apply your communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to complete a project (or projects) within the Payroll Team.
• Gain valuable exposure to various parts of the business and senior leadership within the Partner Resources (HR) Organization.
Currently pursuings:
• Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Financial acumen and ability to synthesize data into insights.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
• Ability to convey complicated information in a logical manner.
• Process improvement capabilities.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
