Role Description: Payroll Clerk (Part-Time, Remote)

As a Payroll Clerk at Cater2.me, you will play a crucial role in our financial operations, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our employees. This is a part-time remote position, offering flexibility while contributing significantly to our team’s success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll on a routine basis, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
  • Manage comprehensive payroll administration tasks, including data entry, record keeping, and report generation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records, including employee information, earnings, deductions, and tax withholdings.
  • Address and resolve payroll inquiries from employees in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate effectively with other teams (e.g., HR, Finance) to resolve payroll-related issues and ensure seamless operations.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end payroll closing activities.
  • Generate and distribute payroll reports as required.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with Payroll Services, Payroll Administration, and Payroll Management is essential.
  • Solid knowledge of Payroll Taxes and compliance regulations (federal, state, and local).
  • Basic understanding of Accounting practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in numerical data is paramount.
  • Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Gusto) and general computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and integrity.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not strictly required. Relevant work experience will be considered.
