Payer Data Operations Intern | Aledade

The Tone:
This is a seasonal internship at Aledade, a public benefit corporation dedicated to empowering independent primary care providers across the country. Aledade builds value-based care models, establishing contracts with health plans to transform the traditional fee-for-service system and ensure primary care physicians are compensated for keeping patients healthy. This role is crucial for strengthening the foundational discovery and documentation of over 100 unique payer data integrations, which are vital for business functions like MA Stars, MA Risk, and financial monitoring for Aledade and its partner practices.

• Mission: Support the foundational discovery and documentation necessary to transition payer data integrations to a proactive monitoring framework.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support foundational discovery and comprehensive documentation necessary for Aledade’s extensive payer data integrations.
• Actively contribute to the strategic transition of payer data integrations from a reactive troubleshooting model to a proactive monitoring framework.
• Take ownership over substantive, hands-on projects designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of Aledade’s overall operations and the intricacies of the U.S. healthcare system.
• Participate in dedicated professional development programming tailored for interns, attend regular intern cohort meetings, and gain exposure to company leaders and senior executives.
• Develop expertise in critical areas including healthcare policy, programming languages, business operations, Medicare and commercial payer contracts, and clinical workflows.
