Patient Transportation Intern Description
This internship offers a challenging and rewarding experience that fosters continued career growth. You will be working closely with the leaders in the Patient Transportation group, developing valuable skills and competencies essential for success in the healthcare support services industry.
Responsibilities:
• Safe and Efficient Patient Transportation: Safely and efficiently transport patients between hospital rooms and buildings.
• Team Management: Assist with managing, scheduling, and training frontline team members.
• Vendor Relations: Participate in vendor relations activities.
• Patient Experience: Contribute to patient experience efforts.
• Quality Assurance: Identify and help correct facility quality assurance concerns.
• Safety: Maintain a safe work environment and participate in department safety initiatives.
• Security: Ensure the integrity of security at the facility.
• Training: Ensure staff receives proper orientation, initial, and ongoing training.
• Guidance and Motivation: Provide individual guidance and motivation to associates.
• Special Projects: Handle special requests or projects as assigned.
Learning Objectives:
• Develop awareness, understanding, and practical skills for working in diverse environments.
• Gain valuable experience in the world of Patient Transportation through learning, observation, and practice.
Currently pursuings:
• Currently enrolled college/university junior or senior.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, capable of communicating effectively with staff at all levels.
• Ability to maintain organization and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Interest in pursuing a career with Crothall Healthcare and joining their Accelerated Manager Program after graduation (preferred).
