## Job Description: Patient Transportation Intern
This internship offers a challenging and rewarding experience while providing opportunities for career growth. You’ll work closely with Patient Transportation leaders, developing skills and understanding the requirements for success in healthcare support services.
Responsibilities:
• Safely and efficiently transport patients between hospital rooms and buildings.
• Manage, schedule, and train frontline team members.
• Engage in vendor relations and patient experience initiatives.
• Ensure patient satisfaction and positive public relations through efficient resource utilization.
• Execute operational standards.
• Maintain a safe work environment and participate in department safety initiatives.
• Respond promptly to concerns and requests, taking necessary corrective actions.
• Maintain facility security.
• Proactively identify and correct quality assurance concerns.
• Bring creative and innovative approaches to Crothall Healthcare programs.
• Ensure staff receives appropriate orientation, initial, and ongoing training.
• Provide individual guidance and motivation to team members to maximize their potential.
• Handle special requests and projects as assigned.
Learning Objectives:
• Develop awareness, understanding, and skills necessary to work in a diverse environment.
• Gain practical experience in the world of Patient Transportation through learning, observing, and practicing various aspects of the role.
Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled in a college/university as a junior or senior.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, capable of interacting with staff at all levels (hourly to Director).
• Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain organization in a dynamic environment.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Proficiency in Windows-based office software (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Interest in pursuing a career with Crothall Healthcare and potentially joining their Accelerated Manager Program after graduation (preferred).
