• Mission: This person is responsible for streamlining patient access to care by managing registration, scheduling, and coordination with various departments and physician offices.

What You’ll Actually Do
Patient Registration & Scheduling: Facilitates the comprehensive registration and scheduling process for all patients, ensuring efficient throughput and accurate capture of outpatient appointments.
Interdepartmental Coordination: Communicates effectively and proactively with both registration and ancillary departments to synchronize information and ensure smooth patient flow.
Appointment Management & Follow-up: Schedules all necessary patient appointments for ancillary departments, meticulously records all essential information, and promptly notifies physician offices of any potential non-covered appointments.
Precertification & Financial Facilitation: Interacts directly with registration to manage financial aspects, facilitating the timely delivery of precertification for all outpatient clinic services.
Information Management & Operational Support: Evaluates, compiles, and reports critical patient care information to the team, keys in data for patient appointments and external reviews on all pre-certified appointments, and actively participates in staff meetings to contribute to team discussions and maintain up-to-date knowledge.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level. High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: No specific prior work experience is required.
• Skills: Computer proficiency; Knowledge of small office equipment including copiers, faxes, and calculators; Independent problem-solving skills; Clerical abilities for filing.
• Bonus: 1+ year of experience in a medical setting with coding, charge entry, and payment collection; Basic Life Support – CPR (BLS) certification.
