Job Description:

The Patient Experience department at UHealth Plantation is seeking a temporary, part-time Patient Experience Specialist. This role acts as a bridge between patients and the health system, providing support for patient experience concerns and complaints.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide service excellence to patients, their loved ones, and UHealth staff.
• Contribute to a peaceful healing environment.
• Perform daily rounds on patients, accurately documenting confidential information.
• Act as a liaison for patients and families, addressing questions and concerns.
• Recognize, understand, and report patient concerns to the primary nurse and Patient Experience Representatives.
• Utilize conflict resolution skills and understand departmental resources to address patient concerns and complaints.
• Contribute to team goals and identify process improvement opportunities.
• Utilize active listening and empathy to assist patients in obtaining resolutions.
• Apply patient satisfaction best practices in all interactions.
• Adhere to University policies and safeguards University assets.

Core Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes:

• Skill in completing assignments accurately with attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
• Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work under pressure.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Commitment to the University’s core values.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Proficiency in computer software (Microsoft Office).
