Job Description: Patient Care Technician (PCT)
SCA Health is currently seeking to hire a Patient Care Technician (PCT).
Patient Care Technician (PCT) Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of a Patient Care Technician (PCT) at SCA Health involve crucial aspects of patient safety and operational efficiency:
• Protecting the patient from injury caused by various external factors, including extraneous objects and chemical, electrical, mechanical, and thermal sources.
• Demonstrating safe operation of equipment and machinery, and diligently adhering to established procedures for reporting and correcting any unsafe situations that may arise.
• Adhering to standard precautions, which includes the appropriate use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Proactively optimizing opportunities to enhance the flow and efficiency within the center, contributing to a smoother operational environment.
Patient Care Technician (PCT) Qualifications:
Candidates for the Patient Care Technician (PCT) position are expected to meet the following requirements:
• Possession of a High School Graduate diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Medical Assistant (MA), Nursing Assistant (CNA), or Patient Care (PCT) certification is preferred. While not strictly mandatory, it is a significant advantage.
• Successful completion of a BLS Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BLS certification.
• Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology.
The salary range for this position is USD $16.00/Hr. – USD $24.48/Hr.
