Job Description
This role involves performing patient care duties under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). The individual will provide both therapeutic and administrative services essential for patient care within an interdisciplinary team, adhering to professional practices and ethical standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Direct Patient Care: Provide direct patient care, including treatments, under the supervision of an RN.
• Basic Patient Care Services: Offer fundamental patient care services, which include:
• Ambulating, transferring, and positioning patients.
• Assisting with personal hygiene.
• Aiding with prescribed bowel and bladder programs.
• Assisting with meal set-up.
• Procedure and Treatment Assistance: Assist with various procedures and treatments, provided they are within the scope of the individual’s training and validated competency, as directed and supervised by the Registered Nurse.
Required Qualifications:
• Current Enrollment in Nursing Program: Must be currently and actively enrolled in an accredited Associate Degree (ADN) or Bachelor of Science (BSN) nursing program.
• Completed Nursing Fundamentals & Clinical: Successful completion of both the theoretical and clinical aspects of “Fundamentals of Nursing” is required, along with at least one clinical rotation (medical/surgical nursing preferred).
• Certifications: Possess current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior Work Experience: One year of prior work experience as a nurse assistant.
