Part-Time Manager Opportunity – Detailed Job Description

About The Role
As a Part-time Manager at Claire’s, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks focused on store operations, sales, and customer service:
Supporting Store Management: Assist the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in achieving retail store targets by actively driving sales.
Store Operations: In the absence of other management, you may be responsible for opening and closing the store, ensuring it trades safely and legally.
Customer Service Excellence: Deliver sales through friendly and efficient customer service, ensuring customers have a fun and enjoyable shopping experience.
Product Knowledge & Demonstration: Demonstrate Claire’s products and assist customers with their queries using your product knowledge.
Merchandising & Inventory: Assist with processing store deliveries, visual merchandising, conducting stock takes, and managing markdowns and promotions.
Ear Piercing: Perform ear piercing (full training will be provided).
Store Presentation: Ensure the store remains presentable and inviting to customers.

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
Education: Some high school required.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of retail experience.
Skills: Excellent verbal/written communication and organizational skills, basic computer skills, and an understanding of the importance of Customer Service.
Aptitude: A sound understanding of mathematics and strong reading comprehension skills.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand during scheduled shifts.
• Ability to maneuver up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally.
• Capability for bending, stooping, extended reaching, climbing ladders and step stools while placing merchandise throughout the store and assisting customers.
• Ability to operate a Point of Sale (POS) system.

Compensation Range
The compensation for this position ranges from $9.50 to $11.00 per hour. The final compensation offered will be determined by various factors such as relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location, always adhering to applicable legally mandated minimum wages.
