This unique hybrid role offers an unparalleled opportunity to immerse yourself in the day-to-day operations of a burgeoning creator business. You won’t just consume content; you’ll be actively involved in its creation, from concept to post, learning what it truly takes to run a successful media brand end-to-end. This is an ideal position for someone eager to gain practical experience in digital content production, social media management, and creator business development.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Edit engaging short-form video content specifically tailored for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
    • Produce longer-form video cuts for YouTube and Substack, ensuring high quality and adherence to brand aesthetics.
    • Act as a production assistant on set during shoots around New York City, supporting Vikram with various on-site tasks to ensure smooth execution.
  • Social Media Management:
    • Assist in managing and posting content across all primary platforms: Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Substack.
    • Collaborate directly with Vikram to co-build the content calendar and establish a weekly posting schedule.
    • Contribute to platform-specific strategies to maximize engagement and reach.
  • Brand Partnerships & Sponsored Content:
    • Support all phases of brand partnership work, including initial concept development and brainstorming.
    • Assist in creating detailed shot-lists for sponsored content shoots.
    • Participate in the shooting and editing of sponsored content, ensuring deliverables meet both brand and @vichrome standards.
  • Creator Business Operations:
    • Help maintain and organize Vikram’s creator calendar, meticulously tracking shoot schedules, content deliverables, project deadlines, and industry events.
    • Manage incoming correspondence and inquiries as needed.
  • Future Product Launch Support (Looking Ahead):
    • Gain valuable real-world experience by assisting with a future product launch, including design sourcing, factory outreach, and go-to-market planning. This offers genuine end-to-end product development exposure for the right candidate.

Who You Are:

  • Education: Currently enrolled in college or a recent graduate (within the last 1-2 years).
  • Passion for Content: Possess an active and demonstrable interest in food, lifestyle, and creator content. You’re not just a consumer; you have informed opinions on successful content strategies and creators.
  • Video Editing Proficiency: Comfortable and fast in shooting and editing short-form video using tools like CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar software. Please specify your preferred editing suite.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized, detail-oriented, communicative, and exceptionally reliable with deadlines.
  • Location & Commute: Based in or around New York City and capable of commuting to Manhattan 2 to 3 times per week for in-person work.

Bonus Points For:

  • Familiarity with Indian or South Indian food, culinary traditions, or Tamil culture.
  • Previous experience with the Substack platform.
  • Strong photography skills and an eye for visual storytelling.
  • Prior internship experience with a content creator or a digital agency.

Logistics & Compensation:

  • Schedule: Part-time, hybrid role. Expect 2 to 3 days per week in Manhattan (in-person) with the remaining hours worked remotely.
  • Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week, with flexibility based on production schedules and project demands.
  • Compensation: $20 to $30 per hour, commensurate with experience.
