Paralegal – Labor and Employment | Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP

The Tone:
This is a Hybrid role at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, located in Boston, Philadelphia, and Seattle. This Paralegal position is critical for supporting the Labor & Employment Practice Group, playing a key role in legal research, document preparation, case and project management, client communication, and overall team coordination. The firm offers a flexible work arrangement, allowing for a balance of remote and in-office collaboration.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Data Management: Manage and oversee electronic data collections, including searching, analyzing using computer-assisted review, and communicating with data custodians and vendors.
• Document Preparation: Review and prepare various documents, reports, and correspondence, ensuring accuracy and adherence to firm standards.
• Discovery Support: Assist with discovery requests and productions, which includes Bates labeling, redacting confidential information, organizing productions in firm applications, and creating production logs.
• Court Filings: Draft, proofread, edit, and file court documents for both state and federal courts using eFile systems, and prepare subpoenas and manage service of process.
• Litigation Support: Create tables of authority and tables of contents for court filings, track and communicate case-related dates, and ensure proper calendaring with the Firm’s Litigation Docketing Department.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university, indicating an early-career level with core domain knowledge in a litigation environment.
• Experience: Minimum of 1–4 years of experience in a litigation environment, with a preference for labor and employment law. Prior experience in a law firm, legal, or other client service environment is highly desired.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Portable Document Format (PDF) software. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, ability to work autonomously, and effective functioning in a team environment.
• Bonus: Familiarity with iManage is a plus. Understanding of litigation support systems including WestLaw, WestLaw Case Notebook, Lexis/Nexis, and Relativity is strongly desired. Flexibility to work overtime as needed to meet deadlines, and an interest in pursuing a legal or business community career.
