Paralegal | Stealth Law Firm

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Stealth Law Firm, located in Redwood Shores, CA. As a firm, we are dedicated to providing expert legal services, particularly within the complex fields of patent litigation and broader intellectual property law. This position is vital for a junior Paralegal to provide dedicated and essential support to our legal teams, ensuring seamless operation, efficient case management, and effective assistance across all federal court matters and IP-related tasks.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Case Support: Provide comprehensive paralegal assistance to attorneys handling Patent Litigation and Intellectual Property cases.
• Court Filings: Prepare and electronically file pleadings and motions in federal court using CM/ECF and PACER.
• Case Management: Oversee and maintain dockets, critical deadlines, and organized case files.
• Litigation Assistance: Aid in discovery processes, document review, and preparation for trials.
• Research & Records: Conduct necessary legal research and ensure the accurate maintenance of intellectual property records.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early-career paralegal with a foundational understanding of the U.S. federal court system and agency operations. This role requires prior exposure to the unique demands of federal legal environments, preparing you to contribute effectively from day one.
• Experience: A minimum of 1 to 3 years of hands-on paralegal experience is required, specifically demonstrating substantial exposure to U.S. federal courts or federal agencies such as the DOJ, SEC, USPTO, or SSA. Candidates must also possess a proven familiarity with federal e-filing systems, including CM/ECF and PACER, and a solid grasp of federal procedural rules.
• Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in standard office software, particularly MS Office Suite, is essential. Candidates must also be adept at utilizing key legal research platforms like Westlaw or LexisNexis. Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and clear, effective communication abilities are critical for success in this support role.
• Bonus: Ideal candidates will bring prior experience specifically in patent litigation or broader intellectual property matters. A paralegal certificate or an associate’s/bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is highly preferred. Furthermore, familiarity with the specific procedures and practices of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) would be a significant asset.
