• Mission: Supports attorneys in the fight for consumer rights by providing essential administrative and organizational support for legal cases.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Case File Management: Perform essential administrative duties, including scheduling calendar hearings and deadlines, organizing comprehensive case files, maintaining pleadings and discovery indexes, and meticulously organizing exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices.
• Process Optimization: Implement and continuously improve administrative processes to ensure a more efficient and streamlined workflow, while collecting, examining, and organizing critical evidence and legal documents for attorney review.
• Legal Drafting & Research: Draft and proofread various correspondence and legal documents, such as pleadings and contracts, and research relevant regulations, laws, and legal articles to assist with case preparation and legal advice.
• Client & Administrative Support: Communicate with clients and witnesses to schedule meetings, interviews, and depositions, manage client billing by preparing and sending bills, resolving issues, and provide general administrative assistance like maintaining the attorney’s calendar and making travel arrangements.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Requires a high school diploma or GED, with experience in administrative support, preferably within a law firm or corporate legal department.
• Experience: At least 2 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant. Preferred experience includes Personal Injury, Workers Compensation, Premises, First Party, or other injury-related practice areas.
• Skills: Demonstrates high organizational ability, capacity to multitask, prioritize effectively, manage workload efficiently, and possess strong written and verbal communication skills, including good presentation skills.
• Bonus: An Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies, a Bachelor’s Degree, or a Paralegal Certificate is preferred.
