Litigation Paralegal | Morgan & Morgan, P.A.

This role is crucial in supporting lead attorneys and legal assistants to ensure clients receive the legal representation they deserve.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Legal Document Preparation & Filing: Draft and meticulously prepare a range of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, legal memoranda, and summons. Accurately e-file all court documents in both state and federal courts, ensuring compliance with all procedural requirements.
• Discovery Management: Efficiently prepare and respond to discovery documents and interrogatories, including drafting responses. Coordinate and meticulously summarize depositions, and actively aid attorneys with all discovery requests to support case progression.
• Case Organization & Support: Maintain comprehensive pleadings and discovery indexes, and organize all exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices. Collaborate with legal assistants to prepare detailed trial binders and exhibits for upcoming proceedings.
• Research & Communication: Conduct thorough legal research and factual investigations, gathering all relevant information from diverse sources. Serve as a primary point of contact, communicating effectively with clients, courts, and external counsel, and liaise between trial teams and internal and external third parties.
• Trial & Settlement Assistance: Provide direct support for trial preparation, including assistance with witness preparation. Actively contribute to case settlements, working with the team to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Possess an Associate’s Degree, a paralegal certificate, or equivalent work experience in a legal services environment.
• Experience: A minimum of two years of experience as a litigation paralegal within a law firm, specifically in Personal Injury, Workers Compensation, Premises, First Party, Medical Malpractice, or other injury-related practice areas.
• Skills: Demonstrate strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to manage a demanding workload with autonomy. Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bonus: Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program.
