Litigation Paralegal – Minneapolis, MN | Fredrikson & Byron, P.A.

The Tone:
This is a full-time, hybrid role at Fredrikson & Byron, P.A., located in Minneapolis, MN. Fredrikson is a premier Midwest-based law firm with over 400 attorneys, working collaboratively to help businesses achieve their goals regionally, nationally, and globally. This role is crucial for supporting the firm’s Litigation Department, particularly in managing complex intellectual property litigation matters and all phases of e-discovery. The paralegal will contribute directly to client success by ensuring efficient and accurate legal support.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Management: Assist with developing case strategies and managing project timelines throughout the litigation lifecycle.
• Document Preparation: Draft pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal standards.
• E-Discovery Coordination: Coordinate and manage comprehensive document reviews and productions, including running keyword searches in Relativity, collaborating with e-discovery vendors, quality-checking productions, and serving documents.
• Legal Analysis: Analyze relevant documents and information to identify critical factual and legal issues pertinent to ongoing cases.
• Case Support: Prepare case summaries, chronologies, and privilege logs, while also assisting legal teams with investigations, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Minimum two years of experience in a legal setting. A paralegal certificate is required, and a bachelor’s degree is recommended.
• Experience: Proven strong electronic discovery experience, including familiarity with the full e-discovery lifecycle, document review workflows, and an understanding of legal privileges. Proficiency in Relativity is essential, covering running searches, managing document review workflows, coordinating with e-discovery vendors, quality-checking document productions, and serving documents.
• Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and the capacity to manage strict deadlines effectively.
• Bonus: Familiarity with AI tools for document reviews in Relativity, proficiency in Nuix, proficiency in Excel, knowledge of Opus2 and Trial Director, and intellectual property experience.
