Investment Management Paralegal | Faegre Drinker

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Faegre Drinker, located in Chicago, Philadelphia, Denver, Washington, D.C, Indianapolis (north side), or Minneapolis. Faegre Drinker is one of the 50 largest law firms in the U.S., committed to investing in its paraprofessional, administrative, and operations professionals. This role supports the legal team in all aspects of investment fund management, directly impacting client service and contributing to the firm’s overall success.

• Mission: Supports the legal team in navigating all aspects of investment fund management and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft applications, document management systems, IARD, EDGAR Next

What You’ll Actually Do
• Fund Management Support: Support the legal team with all aspects of investment fund management, from formation to ongoing operations.
• Regulatory Filings: Prepare and file various regulatory forms, including Form D, BlueSky, Section 16, SEC, CFTC, NFA, RIA, and CPO/CTA registrations.
• Compliance Monitoring: Track and monitor outstanding regulatory and compliance items to ensure timely completion.
• Fund Subscription Assistance: Assist with fund subscription processes by drafting, compiling, and coordinating the execution of necessary documents and materials.
• Corporate Filings: Prepare and file corporate documents such as entity formation, qualification, maintenance, dissolution, amendments, and UCC filings.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent applicable work experience.
• Experience: At least five years of experience in investment management, financial services, or securities, with familiarity in investment funds, corporate entity formation, and securities regulations.
• Skills: Proven ability to prepare and file federal and state regulatory forms (SEC, BlueSky), proficiency with Microsoft applications, document management systems, and filing portals (IARD, EDGAR Next).
• Bonus: A paralegal certificate is preferred.
