What You’ll Actually Do
• Case Preparation: Prepare comprehensive family-based immigration petitions and applications, ensuring they are ready for accurate and timely filing before USCIS and EOIR.
• Defense Applications: Assemble detailed applications for asylum and withholding of removal, along with applications for cancellation of removal, compiling all necessary supplemental evidence for submission to EOIR.
• Document Drafting: Draft and prepare various motions, including motions to change venue and motions for continuance, to support ongoing legal proceedings.
• Evidentiary Support: Compile and meticulously organize all evidentiary submissions, which include country conditions reports, expert declarations, and corroborating affidavits, essential for strong case presentation.
• Merits Hearing Assistance: Assist in the thorough preparation of cases for merits hearings, encompassing detailed evidentiary development and precise exhibit organization.
• Filings Coordination: Coordinate closely with attorneys to ensure all filings with EOIR and USCIS are submitted accurately and on schedule, proactively monitoring court deadlines and compliance with procedural rules.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career professional with core knowledge in immigration law.
• Experience: 2+ years of immigration law experience; proven ability to handle a high volume of work and manage a busy calendar.
• Skills: Fluency in Spanish and English; excellent written and verbal communication; strong attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to work under pressure, prioritize, and multitask; committed to producing high-quality work product.
• Bonus: Bachelor’s degree or senior standing at a four-year college or university; Paralegal certificate.
