Paralegal II | Qcells North America

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Qcells North America, located in Irvine, CA. Qcells is a leading company in the solar photovoltaic (PV) products and solutions industry, rapidly expanding its business across North America. This role is crucial for providing essential legal, commercial, and administrative support, acting as a key liaison between the legal department and various business teams. The Paralegal II will be instrumental in managing and participating in discussions related to demand letters, complaints, claims, and other legal filings concerning the residential business sector.

• Team: Reports to the Director of Contracts or a senior management personnel designated by the General Counsel. This position supervises two direct reports.
• Mission: Provides legal, commercial, and administrative support while serving as a liaison between legal and business teams, with a focus on managing residential business legal filings.
• Tech Stack: MS Office Suite, G-Suite, Salesforce, Adobe Pro (pdf), AdobeSign/DocuSign, Agiloft.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Case Management: Oversee and manage legal case processes by acknowledging service of processes, verifying facts for legal filings, preparing case analysis, and drafting demand letters under attorney supervision.
• Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative assistance to in-house counsels, including preparing various legal documents, processing invoices, managing expenses, and coordinating meetings.
• Agreement Review: Review and prepare various agreements, such as NDAs, PSAs, SOWs, and amendments, as assigned by the Director of Legal Ops and Contracts or an Attorney.
• Contract Management: Manage and maintain version control for TPO contracts, including tracking drafts, clean versions, and redlined versions in a timely manner.
• Team Leadership: Directly supervise and guide two team members within the Legal Operations department.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 5 – 7+ years of equivalent experience within an in-house legal department or a law firm, coupled with an advanced understanding of litigation processes.
• Experience: 5 – 7+ years of relevant experience, demonstrating advanced to expert proficiency in MS Office Suite, G-Suite, Salesforce, Adobe Pro (pdf), AdobeSign/DocuSign.
• Skills: Possess excellent organizational, verbal, interpersonal, written communication, and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple, simultaneous projects and interact confidently with all organizational levels.
• Bonus: Hold or be willing to obtain a CA Notary Public or Remont Online Notary (RON) certification, a Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program, or possess experience within the solar or renewable energy industry.
