What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Support: Service the firm’s clients by assisting with the preparation of various estate planning documents.
• Estate Settlement: Provide support during the estate settlement process to ensure smooth and accurate completion.
• Financial Preparation: Prepare comprehensive fiduciary accountings as required for estate and trust administration.
• Document Management: Manage and assemble all necessary estate planning forms, maintaining organization and accessibility.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree, with a preference for paralegal studies or legal studies, complemented by core domain knowledge in estate planning.
• Experience: Two or more years of experience specifically in estate planning, coupled with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Skills: Possess excellent communication skills for clear and effective interactions, strong organizational skills for managing tasks and documents efficiently, and a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy.
• Bonus: A certificate from an ABA approved paralegal program, prior experience using document automation software (such as HotDocs), and entry-level coding or scripting experience are considered advantageous.
