Trusts & Estates Paralegal | Warner Norcross + Judd

The Tone:
This is a full-time paralegal role at Warner Norcross + Judd, available across any of their nine Michigan offices, with remote work flexibility. The firm is a full-service corporate law firm with over 230 attorneys, committed to teamwork and client service. This role is essential for supporting the firm’s Estate Planning Practice Group, ensuring the accurate and timely handling of client estate planning and settlement needs.

• Mission: To support clients by managing the preparation of estate planning documents, facilitating the estate settlement process, and preparing fiduciary accountings.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Word, document automation software (such as HotDocs)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Document Preparation: Assist with the preparation of estate planning documents for clients.
• Estate Settlement: Provide assistance throughout the estate settlement process.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare fiduciary accountings accurately and efficiently.
• Form Management: Manage and assemble estate planning forms to maintain organization.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Professional paralegal supporting legal services in a law firm setting.
• Experience: Prior paralegal experience is strongly preferred.
• Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word; excellent communication skills; strong organizational skills; detail-oriented approach to tasks.
• Bonus: Bachelor’s degree (preferred in paralegal or legal studies); certificate from an ABA approved paralegal program; two or more years of experience in estate planning; experience using document automation software (such as HotDocs); entry-level coding or scripting experience.
