Litigation Paralegal | Jackson Lewis P.C.

The Tone:

What You’ll Actually Do
• Discovery Management: Coordinate and prepare comprehensive responses to discovery requests, managing e-discovery, document production, redaction, and indexing for federal and state court matters.
• Litigation Support: Draft initial pleadings, prepare deposition and record subpoenas, organize relevant documents for attorney review, and assist with federal and state administrative filings.
• Trial & Arbitration Preparation: Organize and manage all trial and arbitration exhibits, appendices, and related materials, ensuring attorneys are fully prepared for proceedings.
• Legal Research & Analysis: Conduct detailed legal research using Lexis and Pacer, analyze privileged documents, perform cite-checking, and assist with motion preparation.
• Case Administration: Maintain litigation calendars, provide attorney billing and invoice processing support, manage time records, address client case status inquiries, and liaise with courts and vendors.

The Must-Haves
• Background: An Associate Degree is required, along with a Paralegal degree or related certificate. A Bachelor’s Degree and an ABA Paralegal Certificate are highly preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of legal experience is required, preferably in employment law, with strong familiarity with litigation processes and document management.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel), strong analytical and organizational skills, comprehensive knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedures, and demonstrated expertise in trial preparation.
• Bonus: Experience with class actions and wage and hour productions, knowledge of attorney billing systems, and highly client-focused customer service skills.
