Paralegal | Cole, Scott & Kissane

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Cole, Scott & Kissane, located in-person. Cole, Scott & Kissane is a legal firm dedicated to civil litigation. This role is critical for ensuring seamless communication across various legal groups and maintaining meticulous organization of case documentation. The Paralegal directly supports the firm’s litigation efforts by managing crucial information and facilitating timely responses, thereby contributing to the efficient progress of all assigned cases.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Discovery Management: Coordinate and execute the review, drafting, and submission of discovery requests and responses.
• File Maintenance: Systematically document and meticulously maintain comprehensive case files to ensure all information is organized and saved.
• Deadline Facilitation: Proactively manage organized schedules and provide timely responses to ensure all civil litigation deadlines are met.
• Legal Research: Conduct necessary legal research to support ongoing case requirements and strategies for the legal team.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This role requires a self-starter with a strong foundation in civil litigation, equipped to communicate effectively between various groups.
• Experience: Demonstrated experience working within civil litigation environments, including a history of accurately capturing and logging billable time for legal services.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Pro is essential, alongside strong organizational abilities to keep all assigned documents organized and saved.
• Bonus: A Bachelor’s degree or completion of a paralegal certification program is preferred for this position.
