This In-house Litigation Paralegal position provides foundational legal support to attorneys and senior paralegals, focusing on developing key research, drafting, and administrative skills while supporting day-to-day legal operations. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate legal records, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and contributing to a culture of opportunity and growth for Associates within the legal department.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Matter Intake: Conduct preliminary matter intake by gathering relevant facts, identifying basic legal issues, and routing information to attorneys and legal team members.
• Legal Research & Summaries: Perform basic legal research and assist in summarizing findings to support litigation matters, legal projects, and attorney review.
• Litigation Hold Management: Support the litigation hold process by preparing and maintaining documentation, assisting with releases, and tracking compliance with internal stakeholders.
• Document Preparation & Organization: Prepare routine legal documents, templates, and administrative materials, including proofreading and obtaining signatures, while managing document organization, filing, and matter tracking to ensure accurate maintenance of legal records and shared drives.
• Filing & Logistical Support: File legal documents, assist with compliance to applicable rules and deadlines, and support attorneys with materials and logistics for hearings, meetings, internal presentations, and legal projects.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Associate Degree in Paralegal or Legal Assistant studies and/or paralegal certification.
• Experience: 1-5 years of Paralegal experience, including working across corporate departments and supporting executives and employees in corporate legal projects.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; excellent written and verbal communication skills; impeccable organizational, time management, attention to detail, and proofreading skills; ability to balance multiple projects with minimum supervision.
• Bonus: Ability to independently resolve inquiries and issues with skill and judgment; ability to maintain poise under pressure; demonstrated discretion in handling highly confidential information; a consummate team player who interacts well with co-workers and management.
