Southwestern Advantage is offering a unique paid summer internship designed for ambitious college students from all majors. This program provides an unparalleled opportunity to build real-world business, sales, and leadership skills while operating like your own independent business.

As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience in direct sales and entrepreneurship. You’ll receive extensive professional training and coaching, develop critical communication skills, and have the chance to travel to another state with housing provided for the summer.

About Southwestern Advantage

Southwestern Advantage is seeking highly motivated college students eager to learn how to run their own business and become effective in creating relationships with consumers. This is an outside sales internship focusing on consultative selling of educational products.

Optional 3 upper division transferable college credits are available for Communications and Marketing majors, recognizing the robust learning experience provided.

What You’ll Gain:

• Extensive Professional Training: Receive 100 to 300 hours of professional sales, leadership, and marketing coaching.
• Real-World Business Experience: Operate independently, managing all aspects of your sales territory as if it were your own business.

• Travel & Housing: Opportunity to travel to another state for the summer, with housing provided.

Responsibilities:

• Engage in consultative sales with families from diverse economic backgrounds.
• Communicate effectively with anywhere from 2,000 to 5,000 families.
• Create relationships and build strong rapport with customers.
• Conduct direct sales of educational products.
• Execute all aspects of your business operations including:
  • Ordering and inventory management
  • Sales execution and tracking
  • Accounting and financial management
  • Scheduling customer interactions
  • Product delivery

• Must be a college student or college graduate.
