Job Description: PAID PR/Marketing Intern

This is a part-time, paid internship offering $19/hour, requiring a minimum of 20 hours per week. Occasional evening and weekend work is expected.

Responsibilities:

Media & Influencer Relations: Develop and maintain media and influencer lists.
Campaign Understanding: Gain a thorough understanding of client campaigns.
Content Creation: Draft media advisories and press releases.
Research & Tracking: Research awards and speaking opportunities, maintaining a tracking grid.
Social Media & Digital Initiatives: Assist account teams with social and digital media initiatives for clients.
Competitive Analysis: Conduct competitive research, track social media mentions and shares, and perform daily news scans for assigned clients.
Account Team Collaboration: Work closely with account teams, participating in briefings, drafting memos, and attending weekly calls.
Proactive Pitching: Identify and lead proactive pitching opportunities for clients.
Materials Preparation: Prepare press kits, new business kits/mailings, and clip books.
Administrative Tasks: Handle administrative duties.
Photography Familiarity: Demonstrate an interest in and familiarity with professional photography.

Requirements:

• Strong and creative writing skills with an interest in news and market trends.
• Prior internship experience, preferably in PR or marketing.
• Basic knowledge of digital organizing, including text, email, and social media campaigning.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Problem-solving skills and a positive attitude.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.
• Desire to learn and grow within a mission-driven firm.
• Willingness to take initiative and contribute immediately.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle (with exceptions noted in the application process).
