Job Description:
The Department of Public Social Services is seeking a Paid Intern. This is an in-person internship position based in Riverside County, offering a flexible work week of approximately 40 hours per week. The internship is expected to last one year, with flexibility granted for academic obligations.
Examples Of Essential Duties:
Under supervision, the intern will assist and participate in the work performed by employees of a specific profession, receiving supervised work experience in a specific professional vocation, and performing other related duties as required.
The intern will be responsible for, but not limited to:
• Oversee region staffing and scheduling
• Conduct studies of operational, service, and programmatic activities
• Organize and structure HH inventory such as clothing, toiletries, and general supplies.
• Assist in the preparation of inventory budgets and performs cost/benefit analysis
• May direct, train, assign, and evaluate subordinate clerical and technical personnel in the performance of routine tasks.
• Assist the office with program evaluation efforts.
• Support community outreach, engagement, and communications strategies
• Participate in and support process improvement initiatives
