About The Company:

The County of Riverside’s Department of Public Social Services is seeking a Paid Intern.

Job Description:

This is an in-person student internship position based in Riverside County. It offers a flexible work week of approximately 40 hours per week, with flexibility for academic obligations. The internship is expected to last one year.

Examples Of Essential Duties:

Under supervision, the intern will assist and participate in the work performed by employees of a specific profession, gaining supervised work experience in that vocation. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Oversee region staffing and scheduling
Conduct studies of operational, service, and programmatic activities
Organize and structure HH inventory such as clothing, toiletries, and general supplies.
Assist in the preparation of inventory budgets and performs cost/benefit analysis
• May direct, train, assign, and evaluate subordinate clerical and technical personnel in the performance of routine tasks.
Assist the office with program evaluation efforts.
Support community outreach, engagement, and communications strategies
Participate in and support process improvement initiatives

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average: 2.5 GPA required. Proof of most current unofficial/official transcript with cumulative GPA must be provided at time of application as well as a resume.
Education: Applicants must be currently enrolled/attending school at an accredited college or university in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program.
Areas of Study: Public or Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Studies or similar, Accounting, Finance, or similar, Information Technology, or Computer Science.

• 2.5 GPA or greater

Additional Desired Candidate Qualifications:

• Background and knowledge on inventory control
• Ability to create work schedules and assign staff to youth/staff structure
