Job Description: Paid Educational Student Internship
Mayo Clinic in Arizona is seeking high school and college students for paid summer internships (June 2, 2025 – August 2, 2025). Interns will work on a specific project offering a challenging learning experience, with responsibilities varying based on their course of study and assigned business unit.
Responsibilities: The internship involves a project-based learning opportunity. Successful candidates will demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. for the internship duration.
• Full-time student enrollment.
• Prior research and/or healthcare experience (preferred).
• Prior internship experience (preferred).
Application Requirements: Resume, unofficial transcripts, a letter of recommendation from an academic advisor or professor, and a cover letter. The cover letter should include: area of interest/study; reasons for interest in a Mayo Clinic internship and its benefits; available hours per week; and any academic credit requirements.
Compensation and Schedule:
• Compensation: $20.00/hour (Undergraduate), $21.21/hour (Graduate/PhD). This is a fixed rate.
• Schedule: Approximately 5-6 hours/day, not exceeding 250 hours total. Monday-Friday during regular business hours. No weekends.
• Location: Phoenix or Scottsdale campus.
• Duration: Maximum one year per project.
• Benefits: Not eligible.
• Relocation assistance: Not provided.
• Visa sponsorship: Not available.
• OPT STEM extension: Not eligible.
Additional Information: Interns must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
