Job Description: Paid Educational Student Internship
Mayo Clinic in Arizona seeks high school and college students for paid internships. Interns will work on specific projects offering challenging learning experiences tailored to their field of study and assigned business unit.
Responsibilities: Responsibilities vary depending on the student’s course of study and the assigned department. However, all interns will need strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.
• Authorization to work in the United States for the internship’s duration.
• Full-time student enrollment.
• Prior research and/or healthcare experience is preferred.
• Prior internship experience is preferred.

• Area of interest/area of study.

Compensation and Benefits:
• Compensation is a fixed rate based on the intern’s education level: Undergraduate Student Rate ($20.00/hr), Graduate & Ph.D. Student Rate ($21.21/hr).
• The position is not benefits-eligible.
• The internship is a one-year temporary position.
• Relocation, housing, and transportation assistance are not provided.
• Location: Phoenix or Scottsdale campus.
Additional Details:
• Visa sponsorship and F-1 OPT STEM extension are not available.
• A pre-employment drug test and criminal background check are required.
• The internship is a full-time position (80 hours/pay period), Monday-Friday during business hours, with no weekend work required.
