The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Tyson Foods, located in Arkansas, USA, supporting packaging systems. Tyson Foods is a leading food company, and this role is critical in managing and optimizing packaging-related data. The position bridges technical expertise, data management, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and strategic use of packaging data across the organization. • Team: Senior individual contributor, no direct reports, mentors less experienced team members and interns.
• Mission: Manage and optimize packaging-related data to support new product development, specification changes, and broader business initiatives.
• Tech Stack: MS Office, Excel, SQL, Google Cloud (GCP), Power BI, AI tools.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Data Entry and Quality Assurance: Accurately input and validate data from various sources into new PLM and legacy systems for new product development and specification changes, ensuring consistency.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Query and analyze data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, building reports using PLM, Power BI, and Excel to translate insights into actionable recommendations.
• System Configuration and Testing: Support the setup and configuration of the new PLM system to meet organizational needs and conduct thorough testing to ensure business requirements are satisfied.
• Data Migration: Query, merge, and clean data from legacy systems and various sources to accurately migrate information into the new PLM system.
• Documentation and Training: Create and maintain documentation, train users on processes, best practices, and reports, and champion change for new systems and processes.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Packaging, Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Analytics.
• Experience: 3+ years of relevant and practical work experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 7+ years without an applicable degree. Prior exposure to product lifecycle management in food manufacturing is required.
• Skills: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, project management, data and analytical skills, and intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office, Excel, SQL, Power BI.
• Bonus: Familiarity with PLM/Specification Systems (Specright & Oracle), ERP Systems (SAP & DB2), Sustainability & Compliance Systems, Artwork Management Systems (Esko WebCenter), and Packaging Design Systems (TOPS & CAPE).
