Outreach + Partnership Intern: A Key Role in Bringing Films to Life
The Outreach + Partnership Internship is a dynamic role that plays a crucial part in connecting NEON’s films with audiences. You’ll be responsible for:
• Market Research & Strategy: Conduct in-depth research on marketing and distribution strategies to gain a competitive edge and identify successful approaches. Create presentations for case studies on previous releases to learn from their success.
• Building Relationships: Establish connections with community organizations, small businesses, and digital influencers to build buzz for current and upcoming NEON releases.
• Managing the College Ambassador Program: Collaborate with students to arrange on-campus screenings, events, and marketing campaigns, fostering a love for independent film among the next generation.
• Logistical Expertise: Handle scheduling for conference calls with filmmakers, coordinate travel arrangements, and manage film festival invitations, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
• Supporting Across Departments: While primarily focused on Outreach and Partnerships, you’ll also assist with projects in other departments such as distribution, acquisitions, and publicity as needed, providing you with a comprehensive understanding of the film industry.
Compensation & Requirements
• Paid Internship: The internship is paid at an hourly rate of $16.90 and has a minimum duration of 12 weeks.
• Part-Time Flexibility: You can choose your schedule to fit your academic commitments, working 2-3 full days a week, totaling 16-24 hours per week.
• Location: The internship takes place at NEON’s vibrant Soho office in New York City.
• Eligibility: Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited college or university, taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (Spring/Fall) prior to participation in the internship program, or currently participating in a NEON Internship.
