The Tone:
This is an as-needed contract role at Guardian Angel Investigations, with the flexibility to work remotely within the USA. Our firm provides critical evidence for complex insurance and domestic cases across PA, NJ, DE, and MD, setting high standards in private investigation professional services. This role is crucial for expanding our OSINT department, ensuring we can meet a growing caseload and maintain our commitment to excellent client deliverables. We rely on ongoing conversations, prompt case updates, and feedback to continually elevate our standards.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Investigate: Conduct social media internet mining investigations as a primary responsibility.
• Support: Assist with background and social media investigations for insurance social media reports.
• Mitigate: Help on unique cases, such as mitigating online blackmail.
• Uncover: Investigate cyberbullying incidents as they come across the desk.
• Adapt: Support other unique and interesting cases as they arise, applying OSINT skills to diverse challenges.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level individual who currently enjoys OSINT as a hobby, possessing a solid baseline understanding of the field, with the ability to pass a background check and obtain a Private Investigation license.
• Experience: Demonstrated experience through conducting personal OSINT projects or participating in hobby research, and proficiency in navigating popular social media websites (Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.). Must reside in the USA and be authorized to work in the United States.
• Skills: Familiarity with basic OSINT tools and techniques, working knowledge of Google Dorks, understanding of standard digital footprinting methods, familiarity with web-based OSINT tools, proficiency in Microsoft Word, ability to perfectly mimic established reporting styles, phrasing, wording, and flow, and highly dependable adherence to provided report deadlines.
• Bonus: Familiarity with self-hosted OSINT tools and basic coding understanding.
