The Tone:
This is a one-year post-graduate fellowship program at Emory Healthcare, a leading healthcare organization dedicated to providing structured and supportive training for Advanced Practice Providers. This program plays a critical role in preparing nurse practitioners and physician assistants to become highly skilled in the multidisciplinary management of complex orthopedic patients. The fellowship ensures fellows gain specialized and thorough knowledge across the entire orthopedic specialty.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Training: Participate in a structured and supportive post-graduate training and education program in Orthopedics.
• Skill Development: Prepare to become highly skilled in the multidisciplinary, collaborative, and evidence-based management of complex orthopedic patients.
• Knowledge Cultivation: Cultivate specialized and thorough knowledge through various rotations focused on the care of orthopedic patients.
• Curriculum Engagement: Engage with an innovative curriculum that covers the entire spectrum of the orthopedic specialty area.
• Patient Management: Develop expertise in the collaborative and evidence-based management of challenging orthopedic cases.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Completion of an accredited Master’s program for Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner prior to the start of the Fellowship program.
• Experience: National board certification as a PA or NP, and eligibility for licensure as a PA or NP in Georgia.
• Skills: Eligible for DEA license, along with current BLS, ACLS, and Healthcare Provider certifications.
